Hi, I’m Crystal Rose
Crystal Rose Hines is 500 hr certified yoga teacher.
Based out of Boston, Mass and constantly travelling abroad. Crystal Rose has been practicing yoga and meditation for 15 years. Her aunt brought her to a heated hatha yoga class when she was 16. Like most, she came to yoga for the physical benefits, but continued for emotional and mental benefits. Yoga allowed her to breath, stay happy and focused, both on the mat and in life. She began to branch out to other forms of yoga and her interest in yoga asana and philosophy grew.
In Spring 2017, Crystal completed a Hands-On Assistant Training, and began to regularly hands-on assist large yoga classes at Prana Power Yoga in Cambridge, Mass. In Fall 2018, Crystal embarked on a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Wild Earth Yoga Therapy. Crystal Rose mostly practices and teaches power vinyasa and yin yoga. She completed a 50 hour Ayurveda Study with Yoga Alchemy and a 100 hour Ayurveda Yoga and Coaching Certification with Bhakti Center at The Ayurveda Health Retreat Center this November 2019. Yoga Shredz certification in 2020. Finished her 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training with Ame Wren and Daniel Max of Boston Yoga School and JP Centre in November of 2022.
My GOAL
As latinx alternative yoga teacher, she’s all about making yoga accessible to BIPOC and Alternative Folks who may be scared away from trying it because they don’t fit the stereotypical mold for a yoga practitioner. She interweaves non-traditional movements and music into a traditional asana practice that integrates the other limbs of yoga in an approachable manner. Her classes are intentional and powerful, but open to all-levels.
AlWAYS A STUDENT
I am passionate about learning about all things in the universe, not just yoga asana. I am a student of the Yoga Sutras. I am a student of pranayama. I am a student of meditation. I am a student of Ayurvedic Science. I am a student of the ocean. I am a student of the trees, the plants, bugs and animals. I am a student of celebration. I am a student of adventure. I am a student of cultures. I am a student of meaningful human connections.
I am a student of the universe.

Subs and Special Classes
Sarah Rose | KarmaNa Healing Arts (SHE/HER)
Based in Boston, Massachusetts
You’ll find Sarah as a regular sub with Vinyasa Classes as well as Flow & Restore
Yoga as a concept and philosophy was something vaguely familiar to Sarah from an early age, as her family-of-origin would occasionally reference the pranayama practice of their elders as something beneficial to wellbeing and longevity, in spite of the fact that they did not necessarily utilize this wisdom themselves. In fact, it was not until she took a class on positive psychology (“Happiness 101”) in 2008, that she landed herself at her first home studio in Somerville, MA. She discovered that a regular asana practice could essentially rewire the brain and implement change at the cellular level. Yoga became a crucial component of her personal healing journey, and she completed yoga teacher training at this same studio 10 years later (O2 Yoga, with Mimi Loureiro). She received her trauma-informed yoga certification through Firefly Yoga a few months later (2018).
Sarah's style of teaching is a progressive vinyasa with ashtanga roots. It is informed by her spiritual and esoteric practices as a Reiki Master, tarot reader, and multidimensional artist. She is also a dedicant of Shakti, the divine cosmic primordial feminine energy that flows through our collective existence. As an active member of local punk and queer communities, she always leads with an open mind and open heart, while doing her best to remain sensitive and cognizant of individual limitations.
Favorite Style of movement:astanga-inspired vinyasa
Favorite bands to do yoga to: Radiohead, Portishead, Chelsea Wolfe, Bauhaus, Subhumans
Stef | Nature Nerd Yoga (SHE/HER)
Based in Boston, Massachusetts
You’ll find Stef as a regular sub for Yin and Vinyasa
Stef has been teaching yoga since 2019, after many years as a dancer and frequently switching up fitness routines. In addition to teaching yoga, Stef runs a small nonprofit, Riverways Collaboration, and provides grant writing support to other nonprofits. Stef openly shares that yoga is a practice embraced because of personal struggles—moving through the poses brings calm to an anxious and busy mind and creates space for meditation. Yoga also helps Stef reflect on strengths and opportunities for growth, an approach that carries into navigating everyday challenges and responding to the news.
A self-described nerd, Stef loves anything that sparks curiosity and offers continuous challenge. Yoga provides both, offering countless benefits and opportunities to deepen understanding of the body and its connection with the earth. The breathing, mindfulness, and physical practice are rooted in ancient wisdom, and as a scientist, Stef is equally interested in the evidence that supports these traditions. Research consistently shows yoga’s many benefits for both body and mind. To Stef, having access to yoga feels like holding a priceless tool—a secret cure for everyday stress, as well as a way to build strength and flexibility. Stef’s goal is to help make this tool accessible to anyone interested in improving their physical and mental well-being.
